I have used some triggers that performed equally to corn taped to my bass drum. This thread is making me hungry for some corn on the foam. Sorry about the last one, It was too corny.

Hmmm...for the price...I think I'll just stick with Quartz's consistent reliable gear and great customer service.

Quartz cones are proven by the dozens around the forum, so why take a gamble? IMO stick to that what works!

Does Quartz sell a complete mounting kit like this?? I thought he just sold the foam cones. I tried looking at his website but can't get it to open at the moment.

I thought he sells his triggers in a 'harness' variety, too. (...think I read about it in dD), there's a chance I could be totally mistaken on this, though...

Yes, quartz sells trigger harnesses. I have 5 of them and they work well considering the price.

Not exactly a glowing endorsement! Now I'm not sure if I should look into these or spend a little more on something else!

Ok, perhaps I understated my response. They actually work great AND they are very good value for money.

LEt's put it this way (...ahem...):

If you *need* Pos-Sens - ie. you own one of the upper-end Roland modules, or plan on owning one - look no further than the Quartz-cones. They are proven, they are affordable, and they offer Pos-Sens-support when you need it!

If you don't need/care about Pos-Sens, I'd consider internal rim-triggers - Wronkas (Easytriggers), or Intriggs in particular.
