Sorry if this has already been asked and answered but I have not been able to locate it. The Roland SC05 case apparently is no longer available. What do you TD-30KV owners use to transport your kits?

I use the gator case (without wheels). The reason I went without wheels is because i couldn't wait 3 months for one to arrive in Australia. Get the wheels if you can, it's heavy and awkward when fully loaded. I've got a folding trolley that I use to move it around. The trolley also works great for guitar amps, PA etc too - so not a bad result in the end.
The bag takes all the cymbals, tom/snare pads and module for the TD30KV.
I use a standard hardware bag for hit hat, snare stand, throne stand.
I use an old suitcase for the KD140 and my (single) kick pedal. If I take the double kick i use the case the pedals came in.
I usually flatten the rack as best i can and sit on top of the various cases/PS in the boot of my car. I went and got memory locks for all the vertical pipes (toms/cymbals) to assist with this.
I also have DW tom stands and a homemade wiring loom so i can have a small "4-piece" style setup of the TD30 (see my profile pic). The hardware bag holds those stands too.Last edited by campster; 03-03-14, 11:12 PM.

Thanks all, this is very helpful. I will just need someone younger than I am to schlep it out of the basement when I need to take it on the road. I have been using the SC-01 Roland case for my TD-9SX and like you, I don't use the rack bag, I shove it in the back of the Outback wagon.
Campster, can you tell me more about the memory locks? I use a really sophisticated system of yellow tape match marks to set the rack up quickly.Equipment: TD-30KV, DW9000 hardware, ROC-N-SOC Throne, Behringer ULTRATONE K3000FX Amp, JBL EON 615 Powered Speaker, Yamaha MG06X. 1965 Ludwig Super Classic. Campster,
I am getting my new kit set up. Do you know what diameter I would use for the Tom mounts, the larger part of the cymbal mount, and the rack tubes? I'm thinking that they will really speed up the set up of the kit. I may have to consider knocking down the rack to put it in the back of my outback wagon. I would prefer not but I need to consider that possibility. -
Thanks, I will look into blue tape unless you can forecast for me the next appropriate color to use.

I bought the case from Sweetwater and it is one of the 3 bags in the link above in this thread from jsquared. -
You can try sending an email to [email protected] and he might be able to give you some guidance. Tell him that I referred you to him since I have spent some $'s with him. I did not see the bag on the gator website but there website is not that easy to search. Good luck

I most recently purchased a Roland TD-12 Kit and I'm trying to find suitable cases to transport it. If anyone has suggestions please respond. I'm a new member to this forum and would appreciate any advise as to the cases and drum software to enhance the TD-12 brain...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, BobbyLeeBobby LeeComment

Welcome to the forum. Consider introducing yourself in the lobby. Roland cases might still be available for the TD-12. I think it would be a model SC-02 or 03. Try Sweetwater, Kraft, RMC, or eBay. For the TD-12 enhancement, try the vdrum expansions from Alan advertised on the home page of this forum. You will find a lot of help on this forum. Have fun.Equipment: TD-30KV, DW9000 hardware, ROC-N-SOC Throne, Behringer ULTRATONE K3000FX Amp, JBL EON 615 Powered Speaker, Yamaha MG06X. 1965 Ludwig Super Classic. Black diamond pearl.
