Time Signature and Time Interval

On my TD-30 for the click there is time signature and time interval. If I am practicing a rudiment how do I know what to put in for these values? Many of my rudiments have no time signature?

Maybe a noob question but I am a noob so...

When you're only interested in Beats Per Minute, set Time Signature to 0 so that the first beat of a bar/measure is not emphasized (and then Time Interval also makes no difference).
