  • TD-9--Hi Hat pedal as 2nd kick

I copied over the Ballad Reverb kit to a blank slot because I wanted to see if I could tweak it and set up the hi hat pedal to act as a second base pedal. I was able to change it to the same instrument as my regular kick so that when I step on the hi hat pedal I now hear the same thing as when I step on my kick. However, the volume is way to low and when I go through the settings and compare the hi hat to the kick, the settings appear to be the same. When I strike the bow of my hi hat cymbal it matches the instrument and volume of my kick, but when I step on the hi hat pedal, you can barely hear it. Has anyone done this and if so, what settings did you adjust?

I've now found previous posts on this matter. It's working as designed. Will need to try something else.
