I have found no one in this forum to guide me in my quest. The original thread has gone like the dodo, some where into the dark.
I can not find the answer I am looking for,, maybe scared or maybe peeps just do not really no, me thinks.
So I got together with a few mates, and they no other guys, and one of those guys works in a music store,,, ta daa.
Got to try out some headphones,,some, I have myself the senn 280 pro,,one mate of mine has the shure 440 and 840 ,rich prick.
His mate let us use,, from the store he worked at, the Audio technica ath-m50, a sony mdr7576 I think, a senn hd25-11 and a shure iem-535.
The ath-50 are really nice,,buy them if you can get a good price, the senn hd25-11 are great too, but over ear closed phones are my thing. the sony sound nice too, but not that good. The shure 440 sound and look much the same as my 280 pro, the 840 are clearly better but not bang for buck better. the iem 535 are amazing for rattling your head, clear and crisp, but not as open type area feel as the over ear phones, that is it is in your head not over it, if that makes sense.
My mate from the store said he has a pair of shure se 215s and they are just as good sounding as the se425 models.
I am so glad I have the senn 280 pro, because they do the job nicely. there are better phones to get, but for $100 aus I'm done for awhile.
Might buy some shure se 215 if I find them cheap on ebay,, later Hemi
