Snare vibration

I am a new owner of V-Studio set and have a question I hope ya'll can help me with:
I hear my snare when striking the other pads most often the tom's. I have tried adjusting the sensitivity of the PD-9 (snare) to 5 or so but still hear it. I think I found an earlier post regarding "cross-talk" but I'm not sure if this is the same thing. Maybe the mounting sleeves are too tight and it's picking this up? How can I eliminate this?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

First of all, welcome to this forum.
Yep, its a crosstalk thing,
Press 'setup' choose 'triggers' then 'basic' or 'advanced' (i'm not sure of it) then you see the crosstalk setting. Hit all the toms, cymbals etc. and set the crosstalk for each instrument. For me it was sufficient to set the most instruments to 30, the hihat was set to 50 to eleminate the crosstalk.

You can also try raising the threshold on your snare, but as with any trigger setting, there is a window of playability that is bound to differ from person to person. You will have to experiment. BTW the "sensitivity" setting (a somewhat misleading term) has nothing to do with crosstalk issues. All this should be explained in your manual.

I think what you are referring to is hearing snares rattle when playing the toms. There is nothing you can do about it. Don't start changing any settings, it's not going to help. This is a realism issue that Roland built into their tom samples. On an acoustic set you hear the snare rattle as you play other drums, right? You will notice it's more pronounced on the rack toms and less so on the floor toms. Too bad they didn't allow for this realism feature to be turned off, but they didn't.

That's an interesting take on the problem. If this is the case, the Roland engineers are definitely on top of things! I guess the rattle is more pronounced due to the fact that I'm playing through headphones.
