    Firstly, Welcome aboard.
Secondly, what module are you using (Hint: Try typing it in your profile so it comes up in the left hand column)?
Thirdly, the most xlnt search engine can be used to help you find answers to a lot of your questions.
Fourthly, if you tell us what sort of module you have, someone will tell you how to close the HH!

, plenty of , and , , triggered acoustics, , and a plethora of PA blah blah freakin blah...I mean does anyone care about the specifics of pedals, speakers, processors, hardware or anything that I'm using?? Hmmm, maybe this is an appropriate place to mention that I tried out a new cymbal stand the other day...

If you have a TD-6, there is some sounds I think in the 900's, that are closed high hats

I think all the new modules have these sounds. The original TD-10 did not include them. You need the expansion card to access closed and edge hat sounds for the TD-10.

I have a TD-10 with TDW-1. Are you saying that I would need to assign these closed hat sounds in place of open? I guess I could do that for the edge of the hat?!?! Is there a way to do this with a foot switch?

There have been some responses to this in previous posts and you will have to do a search. I believe there were some switches and other ideas kicked around. It seems to me it sounded like more trouble than it was worth. Others can comment on that and maybe help you out.

Perhaps a simpler approach would be to use an aux input and a PD-7 pad next to the hi-hat. Assign it the closed hat sound. I'm not home to verify it but don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
