Does anyone know how Hart's TE3 triggering system works? Their website claims that it's immeasurably better than Roland's foam cone approach. Can anyone describe its design?

Thanks,

Not sure if the design can be described aside from the unique sensor plate which protects the transducer and that is what the difference might be when it comes to Hart trigger technology from Roland's. Beyond that, you should contact Hart your self and have them give you some more insight (if they wish to do so without disclosing the secret of their Pro line triggers).
I talked to Peter Hart about the new technology and szvook is correct about the transducer being protected. The other key feature they are promoting is that the unit is simple plug'n'play with all modules. No fine tuning or tweeking to get it to work. He also explained some differences in the actual cone material and design, but I cant remember the specifics. The 'immeasurably better than Roland's ' part comes from the fact, in my opinion, that I could call up Peter Hart and have him personally explain this info to me. There is nothing at Roland that compares to that.
I'd give Hart pads a try, but I don't like the 7/8" mounting arms. I'd prefer them to be L-rods like Roland and Pintech. So I'm out of luck unless Hart will make them custom for me...
