  • Upgrading, Need Help!

    Hello eveyone!
    i have a td-8 studio set
it means 3 pd9 as snare + floor tom + ride
    4 pd7 as 2 toms + hi hat + crash

i want to upgrade my kit:
to buy a pd-120 as snare
and 3 pd-80 as toms + floor tom
the problem i have is that i want to use my
    pd9s and pd7s as cymbals
    it means i will have 3 pd-7 and 2 pd9 as cymbals
    (including the hihat)
    now the question
does the td-8 can handle all that stuff??
i don't think i have enough "inputs" for it
what can i do to suport all that?
    thanks a lot
and sorry for the bad english

If you are using a snare, 3toms, 1 kick, you can use input 2 (need a Y cable) for a cymbal but will not be able to use the rim sound. You can use 11/12 for one pad and use the rim, or you can use a Y cable and use two pads, but you will not be able to use the rim sounds on either. You can use one pad in each of the cymbal inputs and use the pad and rim sound for each. the ride cymbal input also works this way. So including the ride and hihats you can use a total of 7 pads. If you are going to use 4 toms you will still be able to use all of your pd7s and 9s, you just will not be able to use the rim sounds on two of them (input 2 and input 12). The Y cable is a stereo male with two mono female. You will need two.

Your english is fine. It's better than many Americans I know.
