  • kd 80 question

    Hi,
    got a question...
lately i've noticed a dark spot where my beater strikes the head.. is this normal?
i use the roland beater that came with the td8k.

Yes. You can use a damp cloth to clean most of the spot, but you may retain some residual staining.

        Seemingly, never.

Iv'e had and used (abused) mine for almost three years. I've never had to replace a mesh head and when I asked last year, neither of the Guitar Centers in Studio City or Hollywood had ever heard of someone breaking a head. Of course, I've also never broken a stick on my V's!

Has anyone out there ever broken a mesh head through playing?
