Multiple Hart Cymbals Y'd Into Same Jacks?

I have 2 Hart Chokable ECymbals II's. I'd like to double that number by Y-ing them into the same jacks. Obviously they'd have the exact same sounds. That's okay. At least I'd have access to them on both sides of the kit. Anyone forsee any technical problems in doing this?

This should work just fine. You should have no problems at all.

How do those cymbols choke? I have visu-lites, and there is a long pad on the underside you have to grab. Are the Hart's the same way?

there should not be any technical problems if all you want is identical sounds from both. Also, you will be able to hit one, and choke it from the other.

FWIW, I have a roland cy-14 stereo y'd with a visulite china. This combination works really well because the the visulite triggers the head sound of the roland cy-14. This allows me to haave to distinctly different sounds from the rims of two cymbals and its all plug and play. Also as an added bonus I can now choke the visulite china by holding the rim of the cy-14. Very Kool.

I have Harts and have two hats chained, one right and one left and two pairs of crashes chained as well. Never had a problem. Same sounds of course but I like the convenience plus a total of 9 cymbals looks great with my Giga set.

It sounds very similar. There is a very thin pad (almost looks like a piece of masking tape) on the underside. I really like this better than the Rolands that came with the kit. It's a lot more sensitive, so you don't have to grab them nearly as hard.

Turn the cymbol over and hit the pad with your stick, and tell me what it does. I have a suspicion I already know the answer, but I need someone else to do it too.
