  • v-drum demos online

    Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a v-drum set, and have been getting some good info from everyone on this forum. But I have not been able to find any demo songs online that can help me with my decision. I'm sure they exist, but where?

    Thanks!

Go to the Vdrums.com home page and scroll down the MP3 files and there are four demos there. Rock, fusion, jazz and something else I can't remember.

Do some searching on ddrums.com as well, there's lots of members who posted their ddrum mp3's online so you can compare.
      Music was my first love...

No problem with listening to mp3 files, but don't forget to listen to the real thing. MP3 files are clean/perfectly recorded and the real drum module may sound different.

          Thanks guys!
So far the demos I've listened to sound good, but not as realistic as I had hoped. I did play a v-session kit, and that was a cool experience. My expectations may have been a little too high. I'm assuming the demos I listened to used the v-drum sounds, as oppossed to a sampler, or gigasampler kit. I'll keep searching.

          Thanks!

If you are looking for real sounds look into DDrum . I have owned all the major modules from Yamaha to ddrum to Vdrum TD 8 & TD 10 exp. and the ddrum sound are real samples. I am using Kenny Arnoff's kit live and it sounds great ( cymbals too). They are real sample from his kit, they took him in the studio and recorded his sounds and posted they online for you too download free. They also have Dennis cahmbers and a few others online .I talk to the techs from time to time too get updates from ddrum. I have the ddrum 4 unit with Hart Dynamics pads and it works good. You have to do some treaking , the ddrum has no crosstalk so you have to run the threshold up to stop any cross talk and that hurts your tone some ,that is my only complaint with it. I think the Vdrum plays better but the ddrum sound 10 times better for real drum sounds.

Have a look/listen to 'drumbeat' on digivent. http://www.digevent.com/events/consu...t/archives.asp

Dave plays a Vdrum kit and does all sorts of styles on it, In fact seeing these lessons was one of the things that convinced me to get Vdrums.

If you want to hear Gigasampler played via the V-Pro, there are some mp3s on my website, here's a link to the original topic:

I have contacted them and they didn't help.
                        Anyone have any trouble too?
