  • Should I upgrade to TD20 + TDW-20 expansion?

I currently have a Roland TD12, and I am not 100% happy with the drum sounds. I am willing to eventually upgrade to the TD20 module and TDW-20 expansion board if the sounds are alot better. Are they? (And yes, I have some VEX packs, but I am more interested in creating my own kits to match some bands I like)

    or...

should i just wait for a new module to come out? when do you think that will be?

Ok, well i just looked at some videos of the TDW-20, and I will probably not be getting it. Just doesn't seem like a huge jump from the TD12...

You have probably made the right decision. The new sounds are nice, as are other aspects of the upgrade card, but not a quantum leap.
Id rather be told the ugly truth than handed a pretty lie.

Yunno, given what you're saying, you should really look into the VST angle and forget waiting for a new module (that'll be a long while).
