  • mashed up samples with a TMC6 and separates.....

    hello.

Im new but i really would love some help.

I didn't want to buy a TD brain as i didn't want all those 1000's of acoustic drum sounds. Im going for more mashed up electronic sounds/my own weird samples. The vibe is very much just kit, hat and snare.

    So...i got myself

    *TMC6
    *PD58
    *KD85
    *CY12
    *VH12
    *MacBook
    *Ableton Live 7

"crap!"...the VH12 is not compatible with the TMC6. Stuck already! So im asking myself,

    * do i get a TD12 and bypass the sounds so the VH12 works?
    * or sell the VH12 and get a pad that work with the TMC6?
    * should i buy something like BFD2 to help me get the triggering smooth but again i dont want 10,000 versions of an acoustic kit! I have a Jalapeno Custom for that."
    * or should i use the samples in the TD12 and mash them up in Ableton using effects?

please help me with my new endeavor to play Fat, Electro drum samples.

    Thanks
    Russell

If the trigger pads you have are enough for your purposes, I would keep using the TMC-6 and trade the VH-12 for a VH-11. If you may need more inputs soon, then get a TD-12.
