  • Upgrade For Everyone's Favorite E-Kit

    Hello group,

I have a modest PTLE home studio. I play bass, guitar and keys but have always had love for drums, although I've never owned any. I recently got an electronic set for x-mas so now I can let my inner drummer out. I quickly learned of it's inability to send MIDI data so I've been on a quest to find an economical way to work what I have. My thinking was to get an Alesis Trigger I/O but noticed that it has 1/4" inputs and my pads have 1/8" inputs. Would it work using 1/8" to 1/4" adapters or would that just suck? I also am thinking of upgrading the rest of the kit piece by piece as my budget allows.

Anyway, I've searched around on this site with no luck so any help will be appreciated. BTW my kit is the beloved Ion IED04 I've read all of the rave reviews posted here.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes it does work, I had my old kit run that way.
