how to back up kits on computer [TD-8]

hi,i have just received a cable to back my kits up on my computer.i am using a midi to usb cable from my TD8 module.can anyone explain how i go about this as i have connected it to my comp but nothing seems to be happening.what program do i use to back up kits.much appreciated james.

i have downloaded software TD-M8 and midi ox but i cannot get it to recognise my module.I am using an audigy2 soundcard and a midi to usb cable. im unsure as to what to set my midi input devices on midi ox.should these be set to soundcard or as usb audio device?
