    Welcome. Your predicament is not unique, and there have been a few threads recently that sound very similar to your situation. Just look through the suggestions section. A couple of links are:

    Also, I would stay away from the HD-1 unless you have tried it and liked it. It lacks any feel of an acoustic, and is very limited in sounds and expandability. I have no experience with the Yamaha kits.
