  • Cheapest drum module

I am looking for the cheapest drum module possible since I am interested in using a trigger pad for only ONE sound sample live. I noticed the Yamaha TMX was very cheap, but it isn't for sale anywhere. I am hoping to be able to buy something before next Saturday.. any recommendations?

Is the sample available via MIDI? If so, go Alesis Trigger I/O.

If you want on-board sounds, the Yamaha DTXplorer Trigger Module:

I'm not sure if the sample is available in MIDI, but I'd like to find an even cheaper method than the Alesis if possible. I have read that I could connect a trigger pad to my laptop, then somehow connect the laptop to a venue's PA system to trigger the one sound sample. Is this possible?
