  • PD125 as a Kick?

PD 125 as a kick pad. Is it ok to do this? i have mounted the pad as a kick and just need to know if their is any technical difference between a KD85 and a PD125. Module is a TD8. I also want to use the pad with a real drum head on it. Any technical reason why this could be wrong to do? Thanks.

Roland KD pads have the piezo sensor mounted off-center, presumably to avoid a direct battering from the beater, and are packed with foam near the impact point. PD pads have the piezo pad mounted in the center and no foam which could be a distinct disadvantage.
