  • what would you spend $25 on?

I received a $25 gift card in the mail from the GC because I'm such a "good customer"....I have to use it this weekend

any thoughts on what to get???/

things I'd like to get all cost way more than $25, another cymbal, better amp, vex kits, etc.

I was thinking of a book or dvd

anyone have any suggestions for some great "must have" item for $25 or less???

    thanks in advance
    Michael

Really nice sticks that you normally couldn't get yourself to drop 25 bones on?

Me personally, I'd get my Vater or Evan's stick wrap. As many rolls as the $25 would buy, so like 4, haha.

            A Gibratler clamp
            Stick case
            Adapters
            Spare headphones for guests
            Plastic brushes
            Practice pad
A $25 gift card (so you can use it later for something you really want) if they will let you...

I have everything mentioned in this thread except the practice pad.

Do I need a practice pad? I have 4 kits already. LOL

I was told once that a practice pad is much better to do stick exercises with than a regular drum (or e-drum) because it's less forgiving and it requires you to be more in control.

                    Anyone agree/disagree with that?

Otherwise.... it will be a new cable. LOL (Although, the gift card idea is awesome. I'll definitely try that).

                      I spent $24.94 out of the $25

I ended up getting a Hal Leonard CD/book and the latest issue of Modern Drummer...their stick selection was depleted a bit...

anyway, thanks for all the suggestions

I got a capo for my friend and a new Live Wire cable.

I also had a 10% off coupon that expired today so I got the $20 capo and the $8 cable and I paid $2.19.

I also asked about the wiggle of buying a gift certificate with it. All the guys laughed as non of them had thought of it. They also said there was no reason I couldn't do it.

That's 'cause they were probably thinking like guitar players and not like drummers.
