  • Can I use an amp?

Just wondering if I can plug into an amp so that my son can hear without using headphones? Thanks

yes of course. Roland makes dedicated amps, otherwise people have used keyboard amps...guitar amps are not to be recommended...but beware that the acoustic sound of the stick hitting the rubber (or mesh) is quite noticeable without headphones, which to my mind makes them preferable...master outs to the amp...

edit: here is one thread of many:

TD9+6v with Diamond Electronic pads, and cowbell.
    ATH-50m headphones, VEX packs
not to mention keyboards, guitars, basses, and cats
