  • More noob advice - Amps!

sorry - second post in two days - I have been searching first for about an hour and cant find the answer so here goes.....

I need some home amplification for new vdrums - space first and then money is very very limited but I have a problem in that I am also a bass player (of sorts) and want to try and find an amp/monitor that I can use for both bass and drums....we are not talking about gigging here - this is just for a small bedroom set up...
My searching has pulled-up some suggestions about powered computer speakers with subwoofers - ais this a possible solution for my home setup or am I going to blow it first with the bass and then the vdrums???
    thanks for help and advice

You need a keyboard amp like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3D4%26ps%3D41http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR193771

I agree withe daveybabes that a keyboard amp or powered PA speaker will be the best trick. It is best to have a unit with a 15" speaker, so you can get decent low end, but I have heard very serviceable units with 12" speakers. Just not many.

sorry i am a bit slow - due to the space issue - the bi-amped speakers sound good - but can I and a pal play bass and drums simultaneously??

you could if you had a small mixer, say a $60 one or you can always buy a small combo type bass amp with a 15 inch driver and two input chanels. they are fairly common and cheap used..that would probably be your best sounding bet for bass and drums spacewise and moneywise...stick with a 15 inch speaker for what your trying to do as some have suggested..just my 2 cents..
