  • Cross Stick Threshold on TD20

    Hi There

I have a PD105 on the Aux1 input with the TD20 module. Under the advanced Trigger Parameters (Pg 49 of the Owners manual). I have the 3 way trigger parameters on. I can adjust the xstick threshold on my PD125 snare thats in the snare input, but not on my PD105 thats on the Aux1 input, what have I missed:

    Thanks
    Ian

Try turning the three-way off? The xstick works from two piezos while the three-way works with a piezo and a FSR switch and requires two inputs. The PD105 has two piezos.

I messed with my TD20 and as far as I can tell, the AUX channels do not support the Xstick function. I can't get it to work with either the PD125 or PD105, even if the trigger settings specify those pads.

So the Xstick function only works on the snare (trigger input 2) then.

I think that's probably true for the XStick Thrshld setting and the F5 XSTICK to switch on/off in each kit (although it's not made clear anywhere in the manual). If you had assigned a rim sound marked *X on Page 92, you could use an Xstik sound (127-141) instead if you don't need rim shots. It's odd that the TD-20 really has no rim shot only rim sounds without cross stick.

Three way triggering only refers to bow/bell/edge of the ride on inputs 10/11, so if you leave it off the ride bow or edge may not function correctly.
