TDW-20 Recording a Pattern with a Pad Pattern Kit?

When a kit has a pad triggered pattern, it cannot be used when recording a pattern in the module, correct?

I was grooving along on the new melodious kit #9 and wanted to record it, but no luck

This function provides a very convenient way to use patterns during a live performance.

* Performances using the Pad Pattern function cannot be recorded to sequencers.
