On a TD-8, both the Aux and Kick inputs can be split with a standard insert cable (a.k.a. PCS-31) for two single-zone triggers on each, with different sounds assignable. See the diagram on Page 28 of the manual. No drum rims or cymbal edges on those inputs though.

Hi BarT,

Thanks for your reply, I'm not to concerned with the kick input, I'm currently using the Aux for a forth tomtom but would like to add a additional single zone cymbal (splash or china) maybe.
