TD-20: EQ to only 1 instrument, NOT The kit?

just got the TD20 this week and have a quick question:

how do i turn on/off the eq for 1 instrument in a kit and NOT the entire kit?

Press COMP/EQ, strike the pad, then F4 to toggle between EQ ON and OFF.

But MASTER EQ applies to the complete kit. The TD-20 is just like a PA mixer board in this respect, where you have individual EQ for each input channel but also master EQ for the entire system. So you may have to turn master EQ off and make settings for each instrument.
