Does anyone here use the Tama IC pedal with the Roland KD-8? I have an almost impossible time keeping the IC pedal mount securely clamped to the KD base for any amount of time. The way the clamp on the pedal is designed, flat with no angle. It is great for a bass drum hoop but can't get a good bite on the KD-8. I thought about getting a 1/4-1/2 inch thick strip of wood to simulate a bass hoop to clamp between the pedal and the KD. Any suggestions or similar issues that someone had a good solution to this? Hope what I'm trying to explain makes since!

Thanks KevH for the advice, I'm gonna give that a shot. I'd switched to my trusty dw5000 single pedal but I love the adjustments on the IC double pedal and didn't want to lose that. I thought about upgrading to a mesh KD but didn't know if those also have the same type on mount plate that the KD-8 has. After reading the recommended thread I see that someone had the same complaint on the KD-80.'94 Tama Starclassic maple 24" & 22" bass drums, 10",12",13",14" 16" toms, 20" Tama gong bass, 8" & 10" Tama concert toms, 14" Ludwig timbale, Pearl quarter toms, various snares and A Zildjian cymbals....
