I'm looking at a few Roland PD-80 and Roland PD-80R on ebay. Any reason these would not work with the TD3? I realize that the 80R is dual trigger but I'm just looking to replace my stock rubber pads.
    Thanks.

Why not jump in and DIY. A couple of toms - say 8" and 10", a few bits of electronics, some mesh heads and you're laughing. You'll do it much cheaper than PD80s - and it's very satisfying to boot - even if, like me, you have 10 thumbs.
