  • TD-7 module, lights up, but but LCD is blank. Please help.

I bought a TD-7 Turbo module just a few months ago and it worked fine for a while. This weekend I turn it on and it lights up, and the little "splash" screen comes up (it says Roland TD-7 and shows a little pixelated drumset). But then the LCD just goes blank and I get no sound out of it. Just a blank screen. That's it.
I tried putting it into DEMO mode by holding ENTER when I power it up, but I still end up with a blank LCD.

    Is it dead?
Any suggestions? Does this unit have a battery that can be removed (that was mentioned in other troubleshooting threads)? Can I do some kind of hard reset?

It would cost more to fix than it's worth.
Drumkat Turbo 4.5, Emulator X3, Superior 2.1, Roland Fantom XR, DTXtreme III, SPD-20 etc.......

A TD-7 does have a battery which is recommended to be changed every five years.

Where does it say that ENTER at power on should run a DEMO mode?

A sticker on the top of the unit.

I'll try to find the battery, and replace it. Thanks.
