Are the V-Drum sounds "raw"?

Do the V-Drum sounds come compressed and EQ'd, so to speak? Or are they just the "raw" sounds? Does this make sense?

both.lotsa different sounds.pretty cool.plus you can manipulate each sound to your taste.
