  • Help...Beginner. How do you play a MIDI song with the TD-8

    Hey folks,
    Ok.
I've got cakewalk pro audio 9 set up.
I've got my computer connected to my TD-8 drum module
I've got a MIDI song with 2 tracks opened in CakeWalk.
Now I want CakeWalk to send the MIDI values to my module, and I want my module to play the song, so that I can play along to it.
Does anyone know how to do this?
What do I have to do to the TD-8 to hear the MIDI?
What do I have to do to CakeWalk to tell it to output the MIDI through my MIDI port.
Finally, what settings do I have to worry about (i.e. channels, tracks, ports...)?
    Thanks for the help!

Isn't that always the way. Mess with it for hours. Can't figure it out. Post it on the forum, and then 10 minutes later you figure it out.
For anyone new here that doesn't know how to do this. It's actually really simple.
All you have to do is make sure that on each track in CakeWalk, you have the port set to your MIDI output port on your computer. I couldn't get it to work, because apparently I have more than one, and I wasn't selecting the right one.
    Good luck to all!
