Hi all,
I did a bunch of searching to see if I could find an answer to this specific question, and I found a lot of related information, but not a clear answer. If this has already been addressed, I'm sorry.
I am using a KD-120 trigger in channel 1(kick) of my TD-12. I know this input is capable of generating two sounds if I connect a piezo-switch trigger, such as a pd-7 or CY-14C.
I would prefer to continue using my KD-120, and to connect a foot switch to the rim sound. Mainly, I'd like to use this foot switch to trigger longer samples via midi, where I'm not concerned with the velocity, and a full 127 is fine.
Is this possible without building something like a Raper circuit? I don't need to be able to trigger the foot switch and kick simultaneously. If so, how an I do it, and what would be an appropriate foot switch?
Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction.
