  • Midi to Laptop Kit

Can anyone recommend me a good Midi kit to allow me to connect my TD-9 to my Macbook Pro?

    Cheers all.

    MIDI to USB

You need a MIDI to USB doohickey like this one.

Yes, this will do the same thing but has way more features. It is really intended to be an audio/MIDI to FireWire interface with lots of bells and buzzers.

If all you want to do is get MIDI data to and from your module, the other one does the job for a fraction of the price.

Edirol makes several USB & FireWire products like this. If you want to do audio and MIDI, but want to save a few bucks, then check out for one of their entry level products.

I've had my eye on the UA-4FX because I just want to get my feet wet with audio into my computer and the price is right.
