  • Solution to HD-1 Lite's limited features

I'm planning to get the Roland HD-1 but seeing how limited kits it offers and if I need more toms and cymbals in addition, can I connect my existing TD-7 module to the HD 1? Unfortunately HD-1 only has MIDI out.
What happens if I connect HD-1 MIDI out to TD-7 MIDI in, will I get additional instruments that way? (Of course I need to add more pads connecting to the TD-7)
    Please help?

I suppose, but I see the HD1's biggest limitation to be the kick pedal. No way that can give the kind of action a standard pedal can.
