Suggestions on first kit $800-1400? Also, what is reasonable price on TD-10 expanded?

Hello everybody. I'm new to the forums as well as the drums. I've been poking around here the past couple of days and figured someone could give me some good advice. I want to purchase my first electronic drum kit. I am not attached to the Roland brand but it appears to be a solid bet. My budget is $800-1400 but I'll spend much less if given the opportunity. Any suggestions?


Also, I found a set on craigslist and was wondering what a reasonable price would be for it used but in excellent condition. Here is the ad. -

Great condition. TD-10, expanded, TDW-1 Includes 5 drums, 3 cymbals, one seat, and one foot pedal.
