  • Suggestions please! (another first e-drum)

Hello all, new to the forums and have read a ton and think all of you out there are amazing! Anyway I have been playing drums for about 7 years and owned an acoustic set (1980's ludwig 10piece) and loved it but recently sold it to get e-drums for noise and space issues. i have about $1000 dollars maybe 1400 if i wait a while and realllly want it. I want all mesh, is that too much to ask for that price? Do you guys think it is necessary? What sets do you think i could snag? I really like the TD-6SXT but i can't find one cheap enough (looking on Craigslist and Ebay)

    Thanks
    Jason

If I was starting over from scratch right at this moment, I'd really go for the TD-9. You can start with the rubber pads and upgrade piece by piece over time. For me, the only really critical drum that has to be mesh is the snare, although I do like the rest to be mesh (but I can't afford that just yet). I have the old TD-6 and it is very serviceable.
