Record to the percussion channel [TD-12]

Hello,
It's been a (very) long time since I wrote here.

I have a TD-12.
I want to record in the sequencer a clave line.
What I also want is, that the sound won't change when I change the drum kit number.
As I understand, I need to record a pattern into the percussion slot (or whatever it is called).

How do I do that?

In the Setup/Glbl section turn Local Control to Perc. Now your pads will play to the percussion set. Record your clave pattern. You may need to switch which percussion set the pattern is using, but once you do, it will always use that set.
