Doing the splits

Hi

If i use a splitter on aux 1 on my Td12 and have 1 x single zone cowbell and 1 x dual zone china, will i lose the bow or edge from the china? or maybe none ?

Hi daveybabes,

If you use a stereo to 2 x mono splitter you should get:
- your single zone cowbell using a balanced or unbalanced cable
- and both edge and bow using a balanced cable but they will only trigger one sound

If you use a stereo to 2 x stereo splitter you should get:
- your single zone cowbell using a balanced cable from the cowbell trigger
- both cowbell + another sound using an unbalanced cable from the cowbell trigger
- both edge and bow triggers using a balanced cable but they will trigger the cowbell from bow and the other sound you set from the edge (or vice versa depending on the cable topology)
- OR cowbell + another sound from the edge trigger or the bow trigger using an unbalanced cable

How unbalanced is that reply? Hope it makes sense.

That's great as long as there are no dead/inactive zones.

I will go for the stereo to 2 x mono splitter so i can get my single zone cowbell and china cymbal producing one sound from bow and edge.

Keeping it sweet and simple This will leave me Aux 2 for a 2 zone splash then i'm maxed out ...

The old noodlebox couldn't handle the 2nd option, would need Stephen Hawkins on speed dial ...
