Adjusting individual volumes for 3-way cymbal trigger?? I have a TD-10 expanded. This is so irritating!! I cant seem to find a setting that lets you individually adjust volumes for each sensing position in the 3-way trigger for my cymbals. The position closest to the bell is so rediculously loud!?!?! and the bow is about half the volume. Its soooooooooooo anoying. Any help on this would be so appreciated. I need to equal out all the volume areas on the pad.

Which model of 3-way cymbal trigger are you using? What trigger type do you have set for that? Which inputs on the TD-10 are you using for the two outputs from the cymbal?

Well, you don't have a 3-way cymbal trigger then; as the CY-8 has no bell trigger, only bow and edge. If you're talking about using an "RdX" velocity-switched sound, which would normally be used for a ride rather than a crash; there is no setting to adjust the relative volumes of bow and bell sounds in that case. But if you really mean bow and edge, you can set separate volumes for those at CONTROL ROOM, MIXER, VOLUME.

Thats what I thought! I didnt think it was true 3-way because I've seen real demos of them and I dont have that true 3rd (bell) position. Let me clarify more, it sounds like 3-way because there are 3 different volume areas when I play it. The Bow is the quietest, the edge is a little louder, and the "3rd" area I hear is right up near the top of the cymbal where the "Bell" would be if I had the right cymbal. This "bell" area is the problem area. It is FAR more sensitive then the Bow or Edge areas. The point is, if I turn down the volume and sensitivity at the Bell area (which it needs to be quite a bit), then the Bow and Edge areas are way to quiet. It doesn't add up at all. The trigger area right under the "Bell" triggers so much louder and more sensitive then as you work your way down the cymbal. Why does this area get so much louder! What Trigger Type is set for input 8 at SETUP, TRIG (F1), BANK (F1)?
What sound numbers are set on the head and rim of that cymbal at INST?
