  • Excuse me! I have GAS!

I'm on my 4th kit in 2 months. I've gone from a TD-6 to a TD-9s to an acoustic kit to a TD-9kx now I'm on my way to a TD-12. I think I'm addicted to Roland. I know this has been discussed 1,000 times here, but I'd like to hear it one more time before I jump into the 12. It would be my luck that I buy the 12 and Roland will discontinue it next month and come out with the TD-15 or something. I know there are differences exclusive to the two modules (TD-9, TD-12). I'm more interested in sound quality and editing functions. I'm not looking for training tools or rhythm coaches. Plus the availability of the VEX kits are important as well. I guess I just need to be able to justify the purchase. LOL
    Where am I?

At this rate - you should be celebrating Fourth of July by breaking in a new TD-20 set...
Hart Pro 6.4 (Hammered Chrome), Roland TD-8, Gibraltar Throne w/ Backrest, Tama Iron Cobra Bass Pedal, ALTEC A7-500 "Voice of the Theatre" Speaker/Horn System with Sunn Concert Slave amp and lot of other audio stuff, Sony MDR-7506 Headphones, Zildjian DipSticks - and Czech Skorpian, Heckler & Koch MP5, etc Submachine Guns to stick out the window behind my kit for some quite unique fills...

Tell me about it. I saw a kit based on 3 TD-20 modules. I really hope I don't get like that. I'd like to think I'll stop at the 12. Or I might have to refinance my house.
        Where am I?

          Go for the refinance option!!!!
I thought I'd be content with my original configuration with a single module when I first bought home my kit, and I was....... for a short while..... then I started getting ideas!!!

Oh, and that kit you saw was probably Computerman's kit.

I had to laugh at the 3rd photo in that series. He has the backrest mounted on the wrong end...that channel is supposed to be in the back, to take pressure off the tail bone...not be space for...well you know....

Ok, i was close. unfortunately, i am not immune - my book habit alone would make a crack dealer weep.

IT MUST BE MINE! is the motto for GAS.

which is why I am upgrading to a TD-9, even though it costs my entire month's state allowance, leaving me with the choice to either go without food in july, conduct black magic rituals or finally find out just exactly what are those packages at the bottom of the freezer.

Now where did i leave those black dribbly candles....?

by the way, fullback, I like your slinky analogy. there are a few people i know who would make fine slinkies...they are also an argument for post-natal abortions....

That all depends whether or not the V Drums belong to a guy or a girl. The V could also mean Va..... nevermind!
