  • TD6V drum editor

    Ive started making a TD-6V drum kit editor and just wanted to post a screen shot of it..

    as you can see its fairly basic, as ive only spent an hour or two working on it.

    still not sure of the features yet but these are my plans.

    *multi OS... Windows, Mac, Linux
    * Editing kits (instrument, volume etc)
    * Editing Ambient settings
    * Editing Control settings ( pedal pitch, pad song control)
    * Export Sysex
    * Import sysex files
    * Upload direct to module
    * Download from module

    Once the above are finished, i will release it for public use. however i will probably only implement importing/export files, OR importing/outputting midi which ever is easier to code. and the other will come afterwards.

    Other distant future planed features
    * Kit manager
    * Custom drum library (so you can save that snare that you use on every kit)
    * Ambiance Library
    * Editing TD6V system settings (pad settings)
    * Editing songs (i don't even know if its possible at this stage!!!)

    Would love to hear of any other features people would like, but please, no requests for other modules at this time.

    thanks,

    Very cool Levon! Glad you remembered us Mac users! Sounds like you're making it in Java?

      Looks really good.

      I would love to give it a shot.

      Does anything like this exist?

        Hi Levon,

        Would like to get my hands on this too.

        How about a pan mirror switch to convert easily for left or right handers?

          There is another TD6 editor, but i found it to not work very well..

          i forgot to say, this will be FREE!!
          i will be programing it in python, so it will also be open source, so anyone can adapt it to another drum module if the want.
          One of the great benifits of python is its multi OS, i wont even need to make any changes to the code for it to run on linux and OSX. its also very fast to code in, no re-compiling on code changes. i also find it runs better then java on my computer.

          to run it, you will need to install a few things, but ill figure all that out when it comes to a release. probably a month or 2 away.

          thanks for the comments
