  • TD6 (3 Questions)

    All,

I'm still new to my TD6 drums but I'm pretty handy with electronics. I've answered most of my own questions but, I still have a few.

    Here goes:

    1. I've set up a cowbell trigger on Input 10. I'd like to make a bulk change to ALL kits from Crash2 to Cowbell1 is this possible? Or, do I have to edit each kit individually.
    a. Is this possible with a midi/computer connection?

    2. Will the new Roland Cymbals w/choke work with my TD6? Does it just transmit a "cancel" signal on an existing channel or, does it need a third channel/input.

    3. V Expressions drum sets. I assume that these are loaded via MIDI/Computer connection and stay resident on the TD6. I don't have to have a computer connected to run the V Expressions sets right?

These questions are listed in order of importance. I'm sure I can find the answers to two and three easily but, if someone could answer number one, I would be in your debt.

    1. Yes... download VDRUMLIB and you can do it easily. (here's the link: http://www.vdrumlib.com/)

    2. Yes they will, no third input is necessary.

    3. You are correct; once the VEX kits are loaded, you can disconnect your computer.
    VDrums: a cluster of bits including TDW-20 and TD-3 modules, KD-85, PD-85(2), PD-8(5), CY-12(3), CY-8(2), CY-5(3), Kit Toys china, all on an MDS-6SL+ rack, SPD-S, VEX, VDL
    ZDrums: a Zendrum ZCSZX
ADrums: an eight piece Tama Rockstar kit with lots o' Zildjians
Gender-Conflicted Drums: a stock PDP Chameleon with a few Zildjians (a conversion just waiting to happen... then it can go both ways!)
