  • music stand for drum rack?

hey guys, are there any music stands that attach to the drum rack? i'm low on floor real estate, so i'd rather get something that attaches to the drum rack rather than something that takes up floor space. right now i'm using my toms to hold sheet music but that's not very stable.

Not really, but if you find one with a 1inch-ish diameter post, you can put that into a Gibraltar multiclamp (or anyone elses 1.5inch diameter multiclamp for that matter). I'm pretty sure a few people here have done something similar.

        Hi Darkside,

I had a bracket made up out of steel from a local fabricator, it cost all of 10, in my case to hold a laptop. It is supported off the bass drum tom mount, but will go anywhere and support anything.

According to that link, the clamp diameter goes up to 1.75inches, so that'd easily fit on a rack pipe or a cymbal stand.

            Music Stand

Check out this thread. Has a great picture of a music stand adapted to a V-Drum frame.

You could also use a Gibralter multi clamp.

I made my music stand out of KNEX, the kids building tool toy stuff. I kind of made it so my rack goes though it....
