Using a Monitor with a Roland V-Drum set.

Here is my problem. I have the V-Drum Pro set that I am running through a Roland KC-500 amp. For the time being the keyboard player and bass player are pumping the instruments through my amp (we are saving money to get more gear). In an attempt to not drowning out the rest of the band I have to turn down my volume. When I do this I have a hard time hearing what I am doing on the drums. Should I run all of the instruments through a powered amp and then to the KC-500. A friend has informed me that if I do I can then put a monitor next to me so I can hear what I am doing. Any thoughts on how I can fix this problem?

Pardon my candor, but it sounds as if you have no problem. Your deadbeat keyboard and bass player have the problem. They should buy their own amps.

Sell them your amp and buy a JBL Eon

Just received the Roland Users Group magazine (Spring 2001 pg. 35). Roland now has a 310 watt - 7 speaker Stereo Mixing Keyboard Amp (KC-1000).

This thing looks awesome, unfortunately, it also looks like it weighs a ton, and won't fit in my wagon.
