Software sampler demos

does anyone know of any FREE downloadable software samplers. I ve been tinkering with the idea of sampling and would like to try it out before buying anything. Thanx.

Great links, but there aren't many stand alone machines. What about that VST?

There is also native Instruments Battery which can be used standalone as well as within Cubase,Logic etc. if it is just for Drums/Percussion.
Good value too.
