Buy it! You'll love it. It is like playing an acoustic snare. Great price too!

I bought my first one last year and sold it to my church. I then bought the full set of Tour Elite which included a 12 lug snare, three toms and the kick drum, all in white with black rims. Powder coated for durability.

What do you think of your Tour Elite kit? I'm *strongly* considering buying one, but since there are no Pintech dealers near me I haven't had a chance to try the TE out yet. Like you, I'll be using it with a TD-8 brain.

cool,as long as its comparable to a pd-120 or better i could get one and move my pd to the tom bank..........you can NEVER have enough toms....heh heh <------likes rush.

Matter of fact, I use the PD-120 as the pad type for the AX14.

I am very satisfied with my Pintech mesh head drums and recommend them to anyone looking for an alternative to Roland pads. I put my kit together from select components instead of buying it all together. I have about $1700 invested.

I have cotten several compliments at church about how good the drum set looks and sounds.

i owned one of these and was not that thrilled with it. i personally think you'd be crazy to trade your pd-120 for a the pintech snare. the extra size, as far as i am concerned is the only advantage. pintech single-ply mesh heads are like trampolines and the rim triggering on my snare SUCKED.

then again, your mielage may vary.

Well no, I think if I already had a PD-120 I would not trade it off. I do feel that there is an alternative to dropping $3000 to $4000 hard earned dollars for a complete "all Roland" drum set (unless that is what you require). I would rather buy the Roland module of my choice and maybe the rack and cymbals but get the drum pads from another manufacturer. The savings could be spent on some premium monitor and/or effects equipment.

I don't own an "all Roland" set but I have demo'ed several. Their mesh pads are nice but severely over-priced.
