  • PD-80R pad compatibility

I have a Yamaha DTS-70 trigger interface unit and would like to use Roland PD-80R dual trigger pads. Can I use a Y-cable to access both triggers? Or do I need to do something else to fully utilize the pad's capabilities?

This should probably be under "Technical" (OK,maybe it fits here too!). Yes, a splitter cable should work, as the 80R has 2 piezos. You can always experiment when in doubt (as you may have already!).

Well, technically, the PD-80R is a product. But it was a technical question...about a product. LOL

I'm asking because I don't actually have a PD-80R to test with. And I don't want to buy it unless it's going to work.

Maybe someone else here has tried it. Thanks for you help though.
