  • BRAND NEW Hart Dynamics kits - WOOOOOWW!!!!

Go to www.hartdynamics.com - it is definitely worth your time!
Honestly...sales pitch aside....this new gear looks extremely good...probably some of the most promising electronic drum gear to be released since V-cymbals....

They have entered into the very entry level market with the new Prodigy kit - mesh heads even.....

And the new professional series - with camco style lugs and steel shells....pic below...

Also a newly designed triggering system for all Hart pads.... Very nice stuff!!!

New cymbals in the Prodigy kit...very cool
I had a conversation with a Hart rep several months ago who told me that steel shells on e-drums were not a good idea (we were discussing the pros and cons of ddrums)...yet look what they have come up with here...they definitely look cool...I wonder if the 8" triggers as well as the 10" toms...
        E-drums: TD-20, RT-5S triggers on snare/toms, KD-7s, VH12, CY-14Cs, CY-15R, Pintech splash.
A-drums: Zickos (amber) w/ all Zildjians.

Looks really NICE, bow if they could only figure out a way to make a quiet cymbal I would be sold. I have tried Hary cymbals and it is like hitting a talbe top??? Anything new on that end???

I am pretty sure the cymbals are Ecymbal 2's... The crashes are a little more loud than a rubber pad... The ride and hat have a rubber surface to play on... Why not throw on a cymbal sock??

Doesn't Pintech sell rubber silencers for their rims? Or am I thinking of Hart?

pintech advocates going to the auto parts store and buying some car door trim.

it works alright, it would be nice to have something a bit more integrated and lasting!

I'd upgrade today, those toms are exactly what I'm looking for...however...

1)I've checked a couple of my Hart suppliers and no one has much information yet....

2)could it be that the prices of the new Hart's are slowly inching into Roland territory?....Hart's web site lists the retail on the toms and snare and its not too far from the Roland equivalents....

check out pintech vision series - they come in over 100 different finishes. i have mine in a natural birdseye maple finish, and they look very nice. you can order them in a variety of sizes, too. and they are a LOT cheaper then these harts.

here's a (bad) picture of my kit: http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~jonb/vdrums.jpg

I know all about the Pintechs. I'm just a diehard Hart fan. They all make great products (it's just that Roland paints them purple and overcharges). I've been excruciatingly patient with making a purchase and now I know why. If these drums perform as promised then Peter Hart has set the new standard once again.

Wow. I like em'. If they don't suck I am going to want them. How can a fella try them? Do you just have to hope you dig them and if not send them back? Seems like such a hassle, I wish there were someplace I could play a kit. People sure do seem to be impressed with their service. It seems that I am leaning towards szvooks initial recommendation to me..a td8/bbe/hart kit.

                              Oh the irony...
