  • Simmons memory card and voice chips

    Hi peeps,

Looking for a SDS-7 memory card (existing sounds are OK) and any e-prom voice chips (with sounds) for the brain modules.

Nope. I found one guy in Canada that is selling an SDS-7 on e-bay with 6 modules (with voice chips), but no memory card and I donít need another SDS-7 and the $400.00 is not worth it.

I only have a need for the memory card to back up my sounds and maybe a few more chips (with or without sounds, I have an E-prom burner so I can burn my own samples). It is impossible to find this item period. Even on the Simmons forum, the people there have no idea where to get the memory card just like that.

For good measures, the Simmons people recommend to have the memory card inserted in the brain at least once a month for a few minutes, to keep the sounds in check.

I am hoping some of you peeps outside of the US, especially in Europe might come across one or know someone or a store that might carry Simmons parts.

Can't help you there, but there's a Simmons forum? Where?
Any Simmons resources you know of online?

        Thanks Stu.

Yes there is a forum for Simmons users, not as vast as this place, but it does the job.

There is a membership fee of $100.00 payable to me , or you can go here:

Talking bout Simmons... the drummer of my boss's band came to pick up his Simmons SDX kit at the store I work(and where he stored it), because he had sold it for 14.000 guilders, 6363 Euro's.
              Music was my first love...
