  • TDW-1 Has anyone noticed

Has anyone else notice some specs for the tdw-1 say 360 sounds like the box that mine came in http://www.roland.co.jp/worldwide/pr...000/TDW-1.html when others say 250 http://www.rolandus.com/home-fst.html and yet others say 256 http://www.roland.ca/home/e/e-ss4a.html what the f--- is with that.

When the TDW-1 was introduced at NAMM 2000 different announcements where made about the number of sounds untill the month of May 2000 (when it came out). Since I no longer have a Vdrums module I can't tell you the correct number of sounds, but the advertisements were confusing. However, I have listed the sounds at the SPECS part from this www.vdrums.com site so - if you no longer can wait - just count them. But, perhaps members with a TDW-1 can tell you the number of sounds much quicker.

Roland reserves the right to increase the number of sounds before they release the product and I, for one, am not gonna complain about it.

Of course they stretched the truth ever so slightly just as when they released the original 600 sounds. They called "OFF" a sound (#600). The last of the "360" sounds is also called "OFF". So you got sounds of silence twice.
Kit Pic 1 Kit Pic 2 Kit Pic 3... And FOR SALE I have: 3 PD-9's, MDS-10 purple rack w/cables/pad and cym mounts. See classified posts for details or PM me.

With all the over playing that drummers do, maybe that's not a bad thing.

If you list the instruments in the TD-10 , [INST]+F1[List], you'll see that the EXP sounds starts in 601 and goes up to 960 including the OFF sound (off sound!?). Total of sound in TDW-1? 360 (at least in mine)
